I played around a little tonight and came up with a useful way to look for old news items.

The news link will now let you browse for old news items using a monthly calendar or a monthly listing. You can do previous and next month with either one.

I also added the ability to look up an item by its ID with a standard, never-going-change (in theory) link format. This means I can have "permalinks", which are links that are a permanent place to find an item after it goes off the main page. This makes me a l337 weblog d00d.
