I just spent over an hour making changes to this website, all to make it look as close to the same as possible.
All the news items which appear here are pulled from a database, and I noticed that the actual text data that was stored there was in various incarnations of Pretty Bad Shape.
So I've changed the amount of hand-formatting I have to do to post a story, and while I was at it, I wrote a simple form to make posting stories easier.
I had something going way back in the beginning, but it proved silly and overly complex, so I've been using a plain database interface to add items to this site. Now I don't have to do things like manually escape single tick marks, or deal with a tiny textarea box. Much better.
All so the two people who read this can tell absolutely no difference.
But I'm happier!
