Dorkbox Overhaul

This week, I got some new goodies for my computer. It's doing much better.

The goodies:

  • 10/100 Ethernet card, so all the lights on the router will come on (100Mbps & Full Duplex); maybe now I can copy stuff from the laptop and the Sun without waiting forever.
  • ATA/100 controller card, into which is plugged the
  • 60GB 7200 RPM sweet-mutha IBM Deskstar 60GXP hard drive. Amazing how much faster this makes things go.

Best of all, I no longer have six different drive letters in Windows, and I have a well-reasoned scheme for my Linux installation.

The webcam will be back once I get it working Linux, because I think that's where I might spent more of my time during the day from now on.
