My 43 Things
Tuesday, May 10, 2005 @ 13.30 CDT

Well, I only have 21 Things at the moment, but it's a start.

I like 43 Things. It's fascinating to flip through things that others want to do and compare how alike or different people can be. The concept of blogging together (in very short bursts, thankfully) about things we want to do and getting advice from both friends and strangers is more interesting than I might have thought. Everyone wants to be a better person, and everyone wants a little recognition for that.

I also like browsing and marking off things I've done. Not that these things necessarily make me more interesting, but it's fun to set the "been there, done that" flag on things that others want to do, and see if I can offer any advice to someone else.

Here's my list of things. I'm trying to avoid things like "do ____ more". What does "more" mean? When do you know you've done it? I prefer a finite goal such as "Go to Ireland" or "run a 5k."
