I became interested in misunderstood lyrics a couple of days ago, and I found a wonderful resource for such anecdotes.

www.kissthisguy.com is an "archive of misheard lyrics" with 4,042 entries and counting. I especially like that submitters may specify "I think my version is better than the original" and "I've convinced others that my version is the real one" when sending in their mistakes. Check it out.

My favorite so far is "Hit a chicken with it" instead of "Gettin' Jiggy With It" in the Will Smith track of the same name. I'm randomly (but frequently) saying "Hit a chicken with it" ever since reading that entry.
