It's not really a redesign, because it looks just about the same, but I've reworked this site to get rid of presentational tables and use XHTML Strict markup.
If you're not a web developer, you're probably thinking, "So?"
That's what I want you to think, because if you're using a relatively modern web browser (Mozilla, IE6, Netscape 6+, Opera), things should look just fine.
If you're using Netscape 4.x, it's a different story. I've got an idea that I'll work up some conditional presentation, but that's not working yet. The site looks mighty plain in older versions of Netscape. It looks about like it does in my old favorite browser, Lynx.
In the past, I've gone to great lengths to make things look nice in as many browsers as I could get my hands on. These days, I'm wondering if it's not enough to code to the W3C standards and hope that things turn out OK.
Considering the traffic and revenue generated by this site, I expect I'll probably decide that it's enough.
But, if you find any horrendous problems, please let me know. I'm sure that I'll at least try to fix them, regardless of what I wrote above...
