Saturday, I was very carefully hammering nails while doing a building project, and as I talked to Julie, I very carefully hammered my thumbnail into the fleshy part on the side of my thumb.

It hurts.

(Not that this is Julie's fault. At all.)

I've noticed it today, because I've been typing a lot. That's the first thing I think when I hurt my hands: "Will I be able to type OK?"

Funny, then, that I'd take the pain of typing, just to mention how it hurts to type.
