Finally, a must-have DVD.
Schoolhouse Rock! - Special 30th Anniversary Edition, available starting August 27, 2002.
I'm so excited. This is the first DVD I've actually considered pre-ordering.
The Schoolhouse Rock! cartoons I used to see on Saturday mornings made a big difference for me, as I know they did for other kids. Those songs are great teaching tools, and many of them are examples of creative and inspired songwriting.
I remember a quiz in my junior high American History class for which each person had to stand up and recite the Preamble to the Constitution of the United States. This was easy: as I sang the Schoolhouse Rock! song to myself, I said aloud what I sang inside.
(For Chad, who was there: "Sit down, MacMooray! How old are you, son?!?")
I'll be melodramatic: I'm going to get this for myself, and for my future kids.
