Guess what I will not be doing this weekend...

We finished up our taxes last night and mailed them off today. While lots of other people pore over receipts and statements and so on, we'll be doing something else. It's a good feeling.

Additional good feelings come from the fact that there are no checks included with our mailings. We'll be getting a boatload of money back this year, from both the federal and state returns.

It's about time. We've owed not-small amounts the past few years.

Guess we have Dubya to thank. Or our IRAs. Or the fact that we've paid a staggering amount more in taxes and interest than the previous year.

I just love tax time.
