Yesterday, the St. Louis Rams surprised no one by winning the NFC Championship and making it official that they'll be playing in SuperBowl XXXVI.

I like sports, but not nearly to the degree of most people who "like sports." I don't plan my life around sporting events, or paint my face blue, or put anything on my car. I like to watch a game, enjoy it, then do something else. During the AFC Championship game earlier on Sunday, I vacuumed the house and read a book. Guess I'm not a "true fan." OK with me.

It's great when a local team does well, and the Rams have been pretty amazing this year. There will be the usual amount of over-coverage in the local media (except on the local NPR station, my main local media outlet.) People will be really excited. That's mostly a good thing, I think.
