We were out last night, so we ended up watching the season finale of Survivor 3 on tape, staying up with a bowl of popcorn until 1:00am. On a school night, even. I imagine that Julie will be plenty tired when she gets home this evening.
The last Survivor episode of the season is always a lot of fun. Too bad you have to wait so long to get to it.
Julie was pulling for Ethan, who won. Of course, everyone I talked to about the show was pulling for Ethan. And almost everyone I talked to didn't like Lex. We came to find out last night that the other players thought Lex was OK guy. Vicious moments during private interviews aside, he came off as a pretty decent fellow.
It's the editing. With Survivor, it's always the editing. Why do you think everyone wanted Ethan to win? Editing.
Speaking of vicious moments, Big Tom sure did have a fit at the end when voting against Kim. Pissed-off hicks are mighty funny.
I had predicted that Lex would finish second, maybe third. I thought Ethan would be voted out because he was too likable, but I was with everyone else, hoping he'd win. I got the voting distribution perfectly correct for the final vote. I am down with Survivor.
This means absolutely nothing, of course.
