I'm really impressed with the monologue which Jon Stewart delivered the first night Comedy Central's Daily Show was back on the air. I didn't see it when it aired, but the transcript and RealPlayer video in broadband and modem speeds are now available from the show's web site.
It's very moving. I've always liked Jon Stewart, and now I have a lot of respect for him. Imagine the courage and conviction it takes to go on national TV for eight minutes and just lay out everything you're thinking and feeling so effectively, through the obvious emotional struggle. This might be the most honest thing I've seen on TV since The Recent Events occurred.
Kudos.
