Geocaching - GC12EB - "Tilles Park - Hillary's Stash"
We found ourselves with a little bit of time and some great weather, so we decided to go on a quick geocaching outing.
Since we didn't want to do a long trip, I found a easy cache close to our house in a park that we'd actually been to quite a bit during Julie's first year of law school. She and her roommate Aryn used to walk there a lot, and I have a delightful picture on my bookshelf taken at that park's pond of some ducks with their heads in the water and their butts stuck up in the air. I call it "The Duck Butt Picture."
We loaded up some dogs and make the quick three mile drive. When we arrived, we discovered that there were many people having picnics, walks with their dogs, or whatever. Apparently, everyone else thought it was nice weather too.
The cache itself wasn't hard to spot. Julie found it as we walked up a hill. This makes two in a row for her.
We actually brought something to leave this time. Julie had some forget-me-not seeds in an envelope, so we left those. We normally don't take things from caches, but we decided to take a magnet with the Geocaching.com logo after I read in the log book that it had come from some geocachers from Cincinnati. I think that's cool.
Since we found the cache quickly, we went for a short walk after we were done with the cache. There were lots of dogs for Maggie to bark at.
Geocaching is more fun when it's not 90 degrees with 90 percent humidity...
